Lancaster University in partnership with Lancaster and Morecambe College

11/24/2011 00:00:00
Lancaster University is proud to announce a new partnership with Lancaster and Morecambe College.

The partnership is designed to help local students at the college progress onto Higher Education and to consider studying at Lancaster University.

As part of the partnership, students applying to the University will be guaranteed a conditional offer or interview to encourage them to aim high. The University will be working with students to give them the opportunity to find out what student life is like. Working in partnership will also ensure that parents, guardians and all those involved in supporting students have the right information, advice and guidance to help students make an informed choice.

Professor Bob McKinlay, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Lancaster University said: “I’m delighted Lancaster University is reaching out and establishing this special partnership with Lancaster and Morecambe College. Choosing where to go and what to study is a tough decision and as a local University we should be doing all we can to help local students.”

David Wood, the Principal of Lancaster and Morecambe College, said: “For the college this partnership is about two organisations wanting to extend the opportunities for the local community to access further and higher education. This link will enable aspirant local individuals to fulfil their dreams and ambitions.”
