Glowing Report for University's Pre-School Centre
'Friendly, Relaxed and highly stimulative - with excellent facilities', is just one of the comments that inspectors of the Pre School centre at Lancaster University made in a glowing report during its annual inspection.
The report said that there were no areas for concern identified and went on praise good practice in areas such as partnerships with parents who can access information via the internet, and receive regular newsletters and attend meetings.
Children were observed to behave well during with staff responding sensitively to individual children.
The children's activities were said to be wide ranging with children congregating before lunch for sing-song sessions. The Pre-School centre was also praised for outside playtimes and taking the children on walks around the campus.
Moyna Kemp, the Pre-School Centre Coordinator said, 'Everyone at the Pre-School Centre is really pleased with our outstanding Social Services report. The Pre-School Centre's staff are all fully qualified and experienced, but even so a high priority is put on in-service training to keep their skills up-to-date. The Pre-School Centre will continue to strive to improve our service by constant review with the full co-operation of the Pre-School Centre staff, without whom such an outstanding Social Services report would not have been possible'.
