Pre-School Centre sails through Ofsted Inspection
Lancaster University's Pre-School Centre underwent the transitional Ofsted Inspection on Monday 16 September, based on the New National Standards for Childcare, and came through the process with flying colours. The inspectors had no areas of concern or action. For this inspection there is no report issued but a Certificate of Registration with Ofsted will replace their Social Services Certificate.
This inspection replaces what used to be the Pre-School Centre's annual Social Services Inspection. It marks the change from being registered with Social Services to being registered with Ofsted for all functions.
Their next inspection may be an Early Years Curriculum provision one or it could be combined into one, covering both Education and the National Standards. Ofsted plans for all childcare provision to have 'Combined' inspections.
