DCE will work with University departments to deliver master classes and other workshops for NAGTY members from across the UK. The first master class (28 October) is on Writing Soap is led by Coronation Street writer Peter Whalley. The HE Gateway events will take place throughout the year and they complement the NAGTY summer school which will take place at LU from 6 to 19 August in 2006. The NAGTY HE Gateway offers informative, high quality learning opportunities to students with little experience of higher education. Events at Lancaster this autumn will include the following distinguished lectures and master classes (see below) which may be of interest to the children of LU staff. No prior knowledge is needed - just a keen interest in the subject. For further details of the project please contact Mary Candler in DCE on 01524 594894 or see the website www.nagty.ac.uk for further details of events.
