During the Easter Vacation the University hosted over 35 conference events
During March we had the pleasure of welcoming the British Ecological Society with the help and support of our internal colleges from Biological Science. The event attracted internal delegates and external visitors with the attendance exceeding expectations. The event was enjoyed by all that attended.
We also had the pleasure of welcoming back the Corpus Linguistics 2003 Conference, the Society of College, National and University Libraries (Sconul) and a new addition; the China Past and Present Conference with the support of the Linguistic and Library Departments and the Management School.
Finally, as the vacation was drawing to an end, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Ramblers Association. They took advantage of the University's excellent facilities and the stunning surroundings at this national annual conference.
Feedback from both conference delegates and organisers has been extremely well received and delegates have gone away with a positive view of Lancaster University.
May we take this opportunity to thank you all for your help and support over the Easter vacation as we look forward to the summer conference programme.
