Lancaster highest ranked University in the North West
Lancaster University has risen nine places to be ranked 21 (out of 109 institutions listed) in the Times Good University Guide 2006, making Lancaster the highest ranked university in the North West. Professor Paul Wellings, Vice Chancellor of Lancaster University said: "The Times league table used data from a recent Student Satisfaction Survey along with information about research and other standards. Lancaster is already well known for quality research and teaching, but in this new category students rated their experience very highly, which is a tribute to excellent academic staff, Lancaster’s beautiful campus and location and the friendly atmosphere."
