Lancaster 14th in Formula Student

The Engineering Departments Formula Student Team managed a credible 14th place out of 46 entries at the 2003 Formula Student event held at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground, Leicestershire.

The team of nine 4th year MEng students have been working round the clock to design, build, and test the formula student racecar. The event itself is held over three days and is judged on its design, cost and marketability, as well as dynamic performance.

The department would like to thank the projects sponsors, BSW Engineering Ltd., and other supporters as well as all the technicians and staff who have contributed towards the projects success.

The car will be available for viewing near the Great Hall complex next week.
