New Appointment for Management School Accounting and Finance Department
Lancaster University Management School is pleased to announce the appointment of Bart Lambrecht who will take up a chair in Finance in the Department of Accounting and Finance.
Bart Lambrecht is Belgian and works in the area of corporate finance. His main area of research is real options theory and corporate investment under uncertainty. His work has covered various important corporate investment decisions such as mergers and takeovers, corporate bankruptcy and default, strategic market entry, corporate capital structure, and interactions between financing decisions and product market competition. He has published in leading international finance journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics and the Review of Financial Studies .He is also an associate of the Real Options Group.
Professor Lambrecht's Phd is in economics (1996) from the University of Cambridge. He became a senior lecturer in 2000 at the Judge Institute of Management in the University of Cambridge, and the director of studies in management at Selwyn College. He was a visiting fellow at Calgary University and UCLA, and more recently, he has been making a few shorter research visits to MIT.
