Lancaster University graduate Julia Krier has scooped a top law student award from The College of Law in York.

Julia, aged 22 of Garstang Road, Cockerham near Lancaster, has been named as the top student in her year on the Graduate Diploma in Law course, which gives non-law graduates an entry route into the legal profession. The prize was awarded by the Yorkshire Law Society.

She completed the course at the College of Law earlier this year and received a distinction. She is now undertaking the Legal Practice Course, which all those intending to become solicitors must pass before they can proceed to the next stage of training.

Julia grew up in Cockerham and attended Lancaster Girls’ Grammar School. She graduated from Lancaster University in 2007 with a First Class Degree in History.
