CBI Director General at Lancaster University

ONE of Britain’s most influential businessmen met Lancaster University leaders this week (Thursday, February 5) to discuss a series of ground-breaking projects taking shape on campus.

Digby Jones Director General of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) met with Lancaster University Vice Chancellor Paul Wellings and a series of other staff members including InfoLab21 Director David Hutchison, Director of the Lancaster Environment Centre Bill Davies and Management School Dean Sue Cox.

Mr Jones, who formulates policy on behalf of thousands of public and private companies across Britain, heard details of new initiatives on campus linking academic developments and research with industry and commercialisation. He was making his first visit to Lancaster University.
